About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This unusual structure is one of only two working camera obscuras still open to the public. Once a snuff mill it was turned into the camera obscuras by William West, an artist in 1777. The camera projects a panoramic view of the surrounding area onto the white surface on the interior. You can also take an underground passage to Ghyston’s Cave where you get stunning views of Bristol Suspension Bridge. There are limited facilities at the attraction, but nearby there are a number of shops and restaurants.
