Lovely day trip with my eight year old daughter today. The staff in the house are very knowledgeable and cater to young children with activity books and tasks to keep them interested. The house itself is wonderful and often has exhibitions on so it's different every time. The gardens are beautiful, the weather stopped us for a while, but we still managed to walk around for a few hours and succeed in the maze, walk down the coal tunnel and see the waterfall tree.
We didn't go to the farmyard and playground this time, but that's also great fun for big and little kids alike.
Lots to do for all ages, a great day out for all the family.
