About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

Jump on one of these steam locomotives which use to work the slate quarries of North Wales, but now carry passengers. Travel the 4 1/2 miles from Llanuwchllynstion to lake Bala, watch the beautiful scenery go by as the track skirts the beautiful lake and you can hop off the train at any of the stations and explore the site of a Roman Fort at Caer Gai. The train stops and turns at Lake Bala before returning after about 10 minutes, but why not explore the area around the lake and catch a later train.
