The beautiful town of Barmouth nestled between the mountain range and the sea. It has a beautiful wide sandy beach, there are donkey rides for the kids and there is a land train that ferries people up and down the promenade. A great place for a day out with shops, cafes, pubs ect nearby and the beautiful scenery. From Barmouth Quay you can catch the ferry across the Mawddach Estuary and can from there catch the Fairbourne Steam train (listed on this site)
