About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
This seven acre valley garden is a romantic location set deep within a Dorset combe in Thomas Hardy country. The stunning gardens descend from the Elizabethan house which is now the home of the Earl and Countess of Sandwich. Voted the Nation's Finest Manor House by Country Life, the gardens are full of surprises, including secret paths, walks and grottos, 17th Century fish ponds and an orangery added in the 1950s, along with Ethel Labouchere's Italianate garden from the 1920s, laid out in memory of her husband.
