About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
This commanding castle was built over a vital ford on the River Tweed and was the most often attacked by the Scots. It was once known as the most dangerous place in the country. Now you can safely ramble around the ruins and imagine what it must have been like during one of the 13 sieges. There are information boards around the site to explain the amazing history.
