Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a wonderful tranquil place to bring the whole family for a day out. There are glasshouses with plants from tropical rainforests to arid deserts, plus there's 15 acres of stunning landscaped gardens with roses, alpines, perennials, rare trees and shrubs. You can see a fantastic Bonsai collection in the Japanese Gardens.

The gardens are open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day Opens 10.00 am October to March 5.00 pm (last entry at 4.30pm) Christmas Eve: doors close at 3.00pm April to September : Doors close at 6.00pm Weekdays and 7pm on Weekends
