Once the childhood playground of the author of 'The Lord of The Rings' JRR Tolkien, this nature reserve is steeped with history and has two Bronze Age burnt mounds and remains of Victorian greenhouses. Families can follow a boardwalk while looking out for different flora and fauna. Stop by the pond which is home to all sorts of amphibians and other creatures.
