For a fun day out there are two beaches to choose from: North Beach is a mixture of sand and shingle, with wide promenades to stroll along and framed by the Flamborough Cliffs. Watch the busy harbour traffic, then the pop to the traditional amusement halls, fairground rides and boats rides. South Beach is a wide expanse of sand over looking Bridlington Bay. The sand is well know for being great for building sandcastles. Swimming can be great and lifeguards are on duty July-August, but be careful around the groynes. It is possible to hire deck chairs and beach huts in summer season.
