This area of beautiful and diverse woodland is a great place to bring the kids for a few hours fun outdoors right by Brunel's famous suspension bridge. There are numerous footpaths that you can follow through the woodland and the children will love the natural play area, sculptures hidden along the purple trails, mountain biking trails, the orienteering course and the family trail.

Somewhere To Eat?

There is a cafe at Ashton Court Visitor Centre nearby, and there are plenty of places to have a picnic.

Are There Toilets?

There are toilets on the Clifton side of the suspension bridge.

There is roadside parking on North Road off A369.

How To Get There

Directions

From the M5 Take junction J19, then make your way on to the A369 towards Bristol. After you have reached Abbots Leigh the woods are sign posted.

Tips

We had a great time, our boys aged 6 and 4 both rode the blue mountain bike trail and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A fab place to explore, they loved the play area too.
