About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

For a wild day out with the family there is no place better than Hertfordshire Zoo! From monkeying around with over 13 different species of primates or admiring the big cats, which include lions and tigers, to taking a swing around the Safari Golf family course or paddling in the Paradise Lagoon pool, every minute of your visit will be filled with fun! Don't miss the daily shows with the zoo keepers where you can learn all about the animals in their care. You can even get hands-on with the animals at the farmyard and help feed the goats, sheep and pigs. Kids can burn off excess energy in the various playgrounds around the park or you can take a relaxing ride on the miniature railway to see what is hidden in the woodland. For the bikers in the family, race along to The National Speedway Museum which is located in the park. If all these activities don't leave the kids shattered the Helter Skelter slide and undercover bouncy castle play area certainly will!

Tips

Been here with my son a million times! Always a great day out.

Fantastic for wee ones, staff are really helpful and friendly. Best to get the children round the animals first they will love feeding the animals. There is plenty of areas to play including soft play areas for little ones. My advice is to take a picnic as food and drink are fairly expensive. There are plenty of areas to sit and relax.

We had our 3rd visit to paradise yesterday and it never fails to provide a great family day out. There is a lovely selection of animals, plenty of big cats for any fan of those. Also a really brilliant selection of kids play areas/activities. Food and drink is charged at a fairly standard price that you would expect at an attraction of this kind. Plenty of lovely places to enjoy a picnic though and you can get hand stamps to get out to your car if you don't fancy carrying stuff around all day. Pack swim stuff/spare clothes if your kids are likely to go in the splash pool. We booked our tickets through picniq at £50 for a family of 4 saving us £14 on the gate price. There is a £3 car parking charge now and a barrier system in place. You can buy a ticket at machine (there is a change machine next to it) or you can buy a ticket at the entry point if you need to pay by card. There is also a free to use cash machine on site.

What a wonderful day out this was!!
We went as a group of five, two adults, two 6 year olds and a 1 year old. It was cheaper than most zoo type places, we got the discount tickets so it was £44 for 4 of us! (Under 2 are free of charge!) there was so much to look at, we arrived at about half past 10 and didn't leave until half past 6!
And it wasn't until we drove out that we realised we missed a large section of the park area!! (I suggest doing it at the beginning or you'll probably miss it - like we did!!) throughly recommend a visit, we will be back for sure!!!

A great sized park for children, all close by attractions and reasonably priced

Amazing day out more than just seeing the animals spent an extra 3 hours there doing everything else train Rides etc really good
Day out and not to expensive 👍👍
