This dramatic country house is referred to as the 'Downton of the North' and houses a large number of portraits on loan from the National Portrait Gallery and also a great collection of lace, embroidery and weaves from around the world. There is a fun children's quiz/trail for them to complete and the grounds are great for exploring and spotting wildlife.
