Tips

So much to do here with my little boy, we had a great day out.

A beautiful place. Definately worth a visit.

"Is Bowood open yet?" was the most asked question from my 3 and 4 year olds during the month of March - they like it that much! There's really something for everyone at Bowood - from the beautiful house and gardens to the stunning Rhododendron walks, but, most importantly for my two boys, the brilliant adventure playground and Tractor Ted's Little Farm. Even on a rainy day children can be kept entertained in the indoor soft play area or there is a cafe. There are regularly special events at Bowood like the dog show, which are huge fun and very well organised. You can check their website for any upcoming events.
If you're planning a trip to Bowood I would recommend that you make a day of it and take a picnic as the entry fee on a one off basis for a family might seem a little steep otherwise. If you can go more often then I would highly recommend that you buy a season ticket as five trips mean that the season ticket then has paid for itself. Bowood is a really lovely family day out!
