Cambridge University Botanic Gardens has been delighting visitors since it opened way back in 1846. Whatever time of year you visit, you'll be sure to see some stunning flowers and plants. It is home to a collection of over 8000 plant species and there is also some beautiful wildlife to see, including birds, insects and amphibians.

Directions

The Botanic Garden occupies a 40-acre site less than a mile south of Cambridge City Centre, bordered by Trumpington Road (A1309) to the west and Hills Road (A1307) to the east. The Brookside Gate is located at the corner of Trumpington Road and Bateman Street and the Station Road Gate is located behind the War Memorial at the junction of Hills Road and Station Road.
