The remains of this great abbey are are a great place to bring the family. The abbey was founded shortly after AD 597 by St Augustine. Originally created as a burial place for the Anglo-Saxon kings of Kent and it is part of the Canterbury World Heritage Site. There are audio guides that you can listen too whilst you make your way around to help understand the history and the children will enjoy completing the activity booklet as they make their way around the site.
