Roath Park is the home to some of Cardiff's most iconic visions, including the Scott Memorial Lighthouse. The park has a 30 Acre lake which is popular for fishing and boating. North of the lake lies the Wild Garden which is filled with winding paths and wildflowers that are shaded by trees, perfect for a summer walk. The Botanic Garden is located south of the river and contains some delicate floral displays, with a shrub and tree collection for you to admire. The Botanic Garden also has an adventure playground for the children to play on. The park is a popular summer attraction and is filled with character for you and your family to enjoy a day out. Stepping away from the relaxing gardens and heading south to the pleasure gardens and the recreation ground. The garden is filled with sports facilities in a parkland setting, such as bowls, tennis and basketball. recreation ground is the home of welsh baseball as well as a large field with rugby and football pitches, a playground and trim trail.

Directions
Take the M4 to Cardiff. Exit at junction 32 south on to the A470. Continue south to the A48 roundabout. Take the 2nd exit on to the A469/Whitchurch Rd. Turn left on to Fairoak Rd which will lead you to the park.
