About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This castle was not built for showing off, it was built for defence, fortification and battle! There are plenty of towers and dungeons to explore, so you can imagine what the castle must have been like in it's heyday. The castle is truly ancient with such artefacts as the 800 year old castle doors which are the oldest castle doors in Europe. From the castle you can admire stunning views over the surrounding river and countryside, plus there's plenty of space for the kids to run around and for the family to have a picnic.
