Open in 1962 this gallery is dedicated to the life and work of Stanley Spencer. Throughout the gallery you will see many interesting pieces including letters written by Spencer to his friend during the First World War, a series of files of press cuttings throughout Spencer's lifetime and paintings by the artist himself. Be sure to visit the large library of books written about Stanley Spencer. Throughout the year there are temporary exhibitions, please check the website for more information.

Directions
From the centre of Maidenhead, travel east on the A4/Saint-Cloud way then take the 2nd exit at the roundabout (passing Magistrates Court). Continue on the A4 until you reach the Co-op then take the 1st exit on the roundabout onto the A4094/Ray Mead road. Continue north to Cookham, the gallery will be on your left hand side, just before the River Thames.
