About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

For a great day out bring the family here to discover the treasures in this castle. The castle was built during the reign of Henry VIII as part of a chain of coastal artillery defences and it evolved in to the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. All the family will enjoy learning all about the famous previous residents including the Queen's Mother and The Duke of Wellington. Outside there are gorgeous gardens to walk around, follow the woodland walk and see what wildlife you can spot. There are numerous events held here throughout the year so make sure that you check out the website.
