This superb museum explores the history of Wiltshire over the past 500,000 years, there is a huge collection of archeological finds including important bronze age collections you can trace the history of people living in Wiltshire in a series of galleries - Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Saxon, and Medieval. The collections on display include important finds associated with the World Heritage Sites of Avebury and Stonehenge. The children can follow Archie and Ollie on a gallery trail, build Stonehenge, examine the evidence under a microscope and try on Bronze Age clothes.

Fantastic for children aged 5+. Make sure you have plenty of time. My grandchildren did not want to leave. Lots for adults too.
