About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This museum monument explains the story of the Americans who were based here during World War Two to fight with the allies. There were over 70 sites in East Anglia that were launch pads for bombing missions and each base housed between 2000 - 3000 airmen and crew. The museum has lots of stories from the men who were stationed at Thorpe Abotts. The airfield is great for exploring and you can walk around the Control Tower where you will find displays and the Engine Shed where there are artefacts to look at.
