This fascinating museum is home to a magnificent collection of aircraft from as early as the 1900's and more modern jets and light aircraft from the present day. It's mission is to preserve and display beautiful aircraft that signify the aviation history of South Yorkshire. All the family will enjoy the interactive exhibits on offer and the chance to even climb into a few cockpits! Lookout for special events the museum holds throughout the year.

How To Get There

Directions

By Road: The museum is located just a few minutes drive from M18 junction 3. Follow signs for 'Lakeside' until you pick up the signs for 'Aircraft Museum' with the propellor symbols. If approaching from Bawtry Road the museum take the junction for the Dome/Asda and follow the brown signs.

Tips

We had a great day doing the Easter trail. My nieces enjoyed dressing up and couldn't believe that they got to fly a real aeroplane. I think we will be back on the open cockpit day so we can sit in more. We may even win the Easter prize draw.
