Minterne Gardens were landscaped in the style of Lance 'Capability' Brown in the eighteenth century and have been described as a 'corner of paradise' by Simon Jenkins. The gardens are famed for their seasonal profusion of Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Japanese cherries and Magnolia. Twenty wild woodland acres are full of magnolias, rhododendrons and eucryphias.
