About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

Bring the family here to this Victorian lighthouse which was built to warn mariners of shifting sands and guide them through the Strait of Dover. It was the first lighthouse to display an electric light anywhere in the world! You can climb all the way to the top and get fantastic views of the coast. There is a trail sheet for the children to complete as they make their way around the lighthouse and there are games that the family can borrow to play. There is quite a walk from the car park to the lighthouse.
