Novelist and poet D H Lawrence was born in this building in 1885, which is now a museum dedicated to his life and works. You'll see displays relating to what life was like for families within the mining community and even see the rooms in which families lived. You'll also get the chance to see personal items of Lawrence's and his original watercolours.
