This dramatic castle has a rich history including the fact that it use to be the family home of one of England’s most famous Queens – Anne Boleyn. Inside the castle is stuffed full of 16th Century paintings, furniture, tapestries and treasures. You can pick up a multimedia guide to learn about the history and they have family events throughout the year as well as activities for older children and younger children.

Directions

Take the M26 to Severnoaks then exit south on to the A21. Continue on the A21 then turn right on to the B2042 following signs for Hever.

Tips

Take a picnic as lots of nice picnic spots and food can be quite pricey. Also remember to take swim stuff for the kids as there is a water maze and they can get very wet!

Loads to do make sure you visit the water maze - its not open all year round though & be prepared to get splashed!
