About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
Bring the family to this museum to see 17th century living at the heart of Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile. The house was Thomas Gledstanes and is split across two levels and has been authentically restored and shows how people from a variety of backgrounds went about their lives. Learn about the harsh living conditions, the embarrassing consequences of sitting too close to the fire and the gruesome punishment for cheating your customers. For the children there are discovery trails for ages 3+, these full interactive trails are great for learning about the property. The guides in every room will also bring the history to life with stories and are able to answer your questions.
