Fort Nelson is a fantastic museum, which displays fascinating collections of artillery. Located on Portsdown Hill, you'll see breath-taking views of Portsmouth Harbour. You can explore the fort and see how it would have operated. There are over 250 guns on display, from pre-gunpowder machines to modern day guns and at 1pm everyday one of the big guns is fired!

The attraction is just north of the M27. just exit on Junction 11 and head north east on Portsdown Hill Rd and the attraction is on the left.

The kids really loved it we got there a bit late but we enjoyed every bit.
