For passionate explorers, this beautiful gem in the heart of the Scottish Highlands is a wonderful place to explore full of rich natural history and even some modern history with the many films that have been shot here. It is a peaceful place with vast wildlife, exceptional walking routes for every level of experience, and on a clear day you can see for miles across the water and mountains. There are some great picnic spots around the area, and if you head to the 200 year old Glenfinnan Monument you'll have the best view! From here you can see the famous Jacobite Steam Train which served as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter Films, and there is another view point a short walk away.
