Learn all about Great Yarmouth's fishing heritage at this informative museum that's housed in a Victorian herring curing works. The exhibits date all the way back to the Ice Age to the present day with a number of interactive displays. You can experience the atmosphere of a 1950s fish wharf, take to the wheel of a steam drifter and lots more. There are some great displays on the World Wars and how Great Yarmouth has redeveloped itself as a tourist town. For the children you will find free audio guides and children's activities that bring the story of Great Yarmouth to life.
