This museum housed in two historic buildings has a great temporary exhibition space and the more permanent exhibitions tracing the fascinating local history of South Lanarkshire, with displays relating to Hamilton Palace and the early settlements and also about working life, including agriculture, weaving, and coal mining. There is also a section on the history of the local regiment, the Cameronians. There are activities for children throughout.
