There are two fantastic cliff railways that the family can enjoy in Hastings. The West Hill Lift is the steepest in the UK and offers some dramatic views to Beachy Head in the west and out across the Channel. The East Hill Lift provides access to Hastings Country Park which overlooks the Old Town and Rock-a-Nore. The lift provides views over the Stade, which has the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe.
