About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

High up on the hill is this beautiful Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s finest domestic creation. The interior is a mix of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Scottish Baronial and Japonisme architecture and design. Mackintosh designed nearly everything in the interior. Most of the house has been restored to how it would have looked in 1904 when the first residents moved in. For the children there is a quiz for them to complete as they make their way around, it is a great way for them to learn about the work of Mackintosh. The gardens on a sunny day is a great place to have a picnic and the property holds family events during the year so make sure that you check out their website.
