Towering over the fields around it in the Norfolk countryside is this stunning windmill. You are able to climb the five floors up to the fan stage and if it's a windy day you can see all the milling equipment working. There's also some adorable animals that you can meet including rabbits, sheep and donkey's. You will also find a cycle hire shop, many walks, you can visit the sheep dairy, there's a museum, tearoom, bakery and gallery.

Bircham Mill is 6 miles from Sandringham and 8 miles from Hunstanton. Follow the brown signs from Bircham village

Tips

We went on a visit to the windmill, I was a little disappointed as we weren't there every long, we got to the top, to a wonderful view of the countryside and back down again. It looked like families would get more out of it, with the interactive stuff and animals and play area.

Lovely day out, we return year after year!
