About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

The most significant natural danger to life on Earth comes from Asteroids and comets which is what the Spaceguard Centre tries to monitor! It holds the main source of information about near-Earth objects in the UK and is located on a remote, dark sky site ideal for astronomy! On your visit one of the country's leading experts will explain the structure of the solar system, why we have a problem, and how we can solve it!

How To Get There

Directions

Easily accessible from the main A4113 that passes through Knighton, and signed from the main road just east of the town. The Centre is about 8 minutes drive up Llanshay Lane. If you are using SatNav or online maps with our postcode, ignore them for the last couple of miles and stay on Llanshay Lane until you see signs for the Spaceguard Centre (about 1.5 miles). There is a regular train service to Knighton, but it is a long walk from the station! A taxi is a better solution.
