For an educational hour or so bring the family to this local museum housed in Lawrence House, a Georgian House build in 1793. The house is beautifully laid up with exhibitions including the Victorian kitchen that displays objects and equipment that would have been commonplace in that era, there is an exhibition on the towns links with Australia and so much more. There is a toy room where the children can play as well as look and also on display is a collection of costumes that date from the eighteenth century right through to the 1960s.
