The city of Liverpool was once a major slavery port, in this museum find out all about the slavery trade between 1500 and 1865. You will learn lots about slavery in the past, but also in the present day through the stories of others. There's a range of temporary and permanent exhibitions exploring Life in West Africa, Enslavement and the Middle Passage and the Legacy of slavery. There's a range of family events held throughout the year so make sure that you check out their website! The museum is located on the third floor of the Merseyside Maritime Museum building
