About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

Discovered in 1987 and one of the most amazing archaeological discoveries of recent time. Bring the family here for an educational day out. The mines are over 4000 years old! and you can descend a couple of levels underground and see how much deeper the mines go down and marvel at how the workers managed to work there with such basic tools. In the visitor centre they have a video documenting the discovery of the mines and also a model of a Bronze Age village depicting life in Bronze Age times. A great way to reach the mines is by using the Great Orme Tramway (listed on this site) and get off on the half way station.
