This stunning reserve is a safe haven for a collection of over 600 birds, including rare and endangered species. The children will love the chance to feed many of the birds and also watching the exotic Caribbean Flamingos. There are not just birds to admire but other wonderful wildlife the kids can get close to. They can go bug hunting, pond dipping or look out for beautiful butterflies, dragonflies and so much more. The wonderful Canoe safari is a must (summer holidays only), it gives everyone in the family the chance to explore areas they wouldn't normally see. Visit the play area with its Swan's Nest Maze and the winding tunnels of Water Vole City which the kids are sure to enjoy!

WWT can be very proud of the venue. It's a great place to spend the day. Lots of walking but access for everyone. Lots of places to sit and plenty of picnic areas. Lots of stuff to do for free or donation. Riding bikes and canoeing. Would recommend to anyone.

My children enjoy coming here to see the different birds, easily accessible for prams/wheelchairs. We went there during October half term, they had out things on for the children like badge making and a nature walk, will definitely be returning.
