One of the favourites for visitors is The Painted Hall, often described as the 'finest dining hall in Europe'. The walls and ceilings are covered in stunning artwork paying tribute to British maritime power and was decorated by Sir James Thornhill. Be sure to check out the chapel, where you will discover some stunning interior, redecorated in 1779 after a fire.
