About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
This fantastic medieval manor house is probably the best preserved in England, set in the countryside near the Welsh border. Thought to have been completed in 1291 it has been remarkable preserved so you can see what it would have been like to live back in the day, you can walk through the various rooms including the magnificent great hall. The castle only experienced one military encounter surrendering to Parliamentarian force, thus meaning the house was not destroyed. You can pick up an Audio guide so that you can learn all about the history as you make your way around, and there is a book box for the children. Outside you can walk along the moat and inside there is a beautiful cottage garden.
