Exploring the passages you really get to experience the tough working conditions that the miners had to cope with when it was a working mine. Before you start one of the tours you are kitted out with all the appropriate safety equipment. There are three different tours to choose from a 1 hour Taster Trip, 2 hour Mine Explorer Trip and a Half Day Mine Expedition. Explore the dark, damp tunnels and see the underground workings led by an experienced guide. You can even have a go at working the old mining equipment for yourself.

Corris Mine Explorers starts from the Tourist Information Point at Corris Craft Centre in Mid Wales. It is located on the main A487 road between Machynlleth and Dolgellau.
