A small but fun aquarium with an all day ticket so you can keep popping back and see one of the talks and demonstrations. With both freshwater and marine exhibits for everyone to marvel at; the kids will love the rock pool where they can handle some of the creatures. The is also a brand new Sea Lab which opened in July 2015 featuring a lobster hatchery, where these marvellous creatures are reared and then released back into the wild. There is a cafe serving cakes and snacks of you need to feed the family.

Maryport Aquarium is a fun little aquarium in a pleasant little town. The adventure park to the rear is great for children and the option of mini golf is great too. I wouldn't say the aquarium alone is a full day out and will probably only entertain for about 2 hours but on a nice day you can make the most of the location and adventure playground to extend the fun!
