About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This small but informative museum is a little gem and has plenty for children and families to do and see. The museum looks over the Solway Firth, this is birthplace of Thomas Henry Ismay of White Star Line fame, and there are objects from the Titanic for you to see. You will learn about the history of Maryport and its growing importance as an innovative shipbuilding centre - and then its decline through commercial changes and also how it was the third biggest coal port in England.
