This is a great place to bring the family for exploring the woods and wildlife spotting. The children will enjoy the animal puzzle trails (there are other trails too) that starts at the visitor centre and follows part of the route of our Willow Walk. The twelve animals featured along this trail can all be found at Garwnant. Pick up a trail leaflet from our information centre when you arrive. The Mini Mountain Bike Skills Park is a series of child friendly obstacles designed to improve and build their confidence. The centre holds regular family events so make sure that you check out their website for the latest.

Somewhere To Eat?

There is a Restaurant and coffee shop available that sells some fantastic meals whilst you enjoy some stunning views of the Llwyn Onn reservoir.

Are There Toilets?

There are toilets available on-site that are all wheelchair accessible.

Baby Friendly?

There are baby changing facilities available onsite. There is also a children's play area which is a great place for children under the age of 8 to enjoy the great outdoors. There is also a low ropes course for children aged 7 -15 years with lots of obstacles for them to tackle

How To Get There

Directions

Garwnant Visitor Centre is located just off the main A470 between Brecon (14 miles) and Merthyr Tydfil (5 miles), forming the southern gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is very easy to find as long as you stay on the A470
