Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway runs for 13 ½ miles from the picturesque Cinque Port town of Hythe, through the family-friendly seaside village to Dymchurch, towards the railway’s headquarters at New Romney and finally reaching the National Nature Reserve of Dungeness. It is a winner of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence and this world famous steam railway is one of Kent’s top attractions. The Model Exhibition at New Romney Station is a must-see attraction. The interactive features are sure to keep the children intrigued, whilst displays depicting the railway’s history always engages the grown-ups. Set alongside these extensive indoor features, and over the bridge, children will find the train-themed outdoor play area. Younger children can enjoy the Tiny Tots Children’s Play Area adjacent to the picnic area on the station concourse. We put the ‘tea’ in ‘steam’

Lovely small steam trains with station stops at nice beaches, one sandy and the other at Dungeness shingle beach. Santa specials are great. Large model railway is also there all year around. Good play area at New Romney.
