If you or your family have an interest in history, then bring them here to learn the fascinating history of this Victorian Tunnel. The tunnel is a fully preserved 19th century wagonway that goes between the Town Moor to the Tyne. You see the tunnel via a guided tour (pre booked,) where you will learn all about it's history and uses over the years. It was originally built to move coal. There are limited facilities.
