Tips

Really good, loads to do. My 2yr old was quite frightened by all the dinosaurs (perhaps a bit young for that bit) but otherwise she loved it.

Family annual pass are brilliant value for money allowing 2 adults and up to 3 children for about £60. There is an indoor play area and a lot of the museum is indoors too so plenty to do on a rainy day- the gardens outside are lovely and play area is good for all ages. Museum is looking very dated and in need of refurb a bit boring for younger ones as there are no hands on interactive learning it's a lot of reading! Just posters with info which is very boring for kids. Also please put a coffee shop in the play area!!! You have to go all the way out to buy a cup of coffee then go back I. The main entrance to go back to the play area. They would make so much more money by just putting a little coffee shop in the play area or gardens! Overall a good experience both my 9 year old and 3 year old love going!
