Hidden underneath the streets of Nottingham you can discover ancient sandstone caves. You will be taken on an intriguing tour by actor guides Archie and Annie the archeologists or if you want to make your own way grab an audio tour and make your way around. Your journey will take you under the cobbles of some of Nottingham's famous streets, including the old slum of Narrow Marsh and you will learn about the caves construction and how they were shaped and maintained. There are activities planned throughout the year for children especially during the holiday periods.

Directions
The City of Caves are accessed via the upper mall level in Broadmarsh Shopping Centre. Take the A60 Nottingham and follow signs to the shopping centre.

Very educational trip and kids were given gift packs at the end. Not for those who are claustrophobic. Recommend wearing the hard hats -actually I think they should be compulsory.
