About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
If you fancy doing something active and outdoors why not take a walk up to this famous landmark on top of Penshaw Hill. The unusual monument is a 70 foot high folly that is a replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens and can be seen for miles around. You can even climb to the top at certain times of the year, up some hidden spiral stairs. Take a picnic, enjoy the views and walk around and explore the woods.
